PAINTING PROCESS

Our professional painters use the following procedures to ensure your satisfaction:

 

  • Protect landscaping, decks, heat pumps, air conditioner compressors, and other exterior features.
  • Clean Surface. A thorough scrubbing is a must before painting any exterior surface to ensure the best coverage, remove dirt and dust buildup from the house. A high-pressure wash is used to remove dirt, loose paint residue, and mildew to allow fresh coats of paint to adhere.
  • Scrape and Sand and Repair Surfaces.
  • Repair Damaged Surfaces. Inspect for potential rot, advise customer, and make necessary repairs.
  • Caulk. Install new premium grade of caulk around windows, doors, and siding joints.
  • Prime. Prime any exposed wood with Sherwin William's primer.
  • Protect Doors, Windows, and Lights. 
  • Apply rust inhibitor on all rusty nail heads on areas to be painted to slow rust bleed through.
  • Paint Exterior. Apply two coats of Sherwin William's "Emerald" paint or "WoodScapes" stain product to exterior walls, depending on the siding type.
  • Paint Trim and Doors. Hand paint window & door trim, outside corner, soffit & fascia with Sherwin-William's "Emerald" paint or "WoodScapes" stain product depending on the trim type.
  • Clean-up Site. Remove and discard paint chips, paint debris, etc.
